Dollar Bead Haul

Greeting Creative People,

I purchased some beads from Dollar Beads and wanted share some photos with you. If you are not aware, Dollar Beads is an online store where you can purchase high quality beads and jewelry findings for no more than a dollar! They have large selection of glass beads, seed beads, crackle glass beads, artisan beads, swarovski crystals, fire polished beads, the list is endless. Everything on the site cost $1.00 and under, some items are as low as .25 cents which would be some of their specials. Also, no matter how much you purchase, they have flat rate shipping to places in the U.S. $5.95; shipping prices varies for other countries. The shipping is pretty fast, when I put in an order on Thursday, I can expect my items on Monday which I truly appreciate! Check them out, www.dollarbead.com I am sure you will love them as much as I do.

Now, a little bit of my haul. This is not my first time purchasing items from them, this is my third time, and each time I am truly satisfied, not only with the product, but also the customer service. Needless to say, I will be purchasing from them again.

A closer look at the quality.
If you seen my previous post about my hand beaded projects, you will know, I don't make jewelry, but I do embellish a lot of the clothes I design. My beading supply was running low, so this purchase from Dollar Bead was necessary to replenish my inventory. I purchased several strands of these 6 mm tubular glass beads on 12" string. The mustard colored glass beads were .40 cents each, the sky blue and the black tubular beads were .50 cents each, and the turquoise colored beads were $1.00 each.

These glass beads are 4 mm and slightly larger ones are 6 mm. There are approximately 74-105 beads per strand, the colors are apricot, crystal clear crackle and blue. The 4 mm and 6 mm apricot glass beads were .50 cents per strand; the 4 mm blue and white strands were .30 cents each. Dollar Bead did indicate on their website when I purchased the blue beads that they had a defect which is why they were .30 cents per strand. As you can see in the photo, some of the beads are discolored but for .30 cents, a few bad beads in the bunch does not bother me.

Although, very small, I really enjoy working with seed beads, they serve as great fillers and they work wonderful on their own. The six packages on the right starting on the top. Size 11/0 Rust Opaque glass seed Beads in a 1 oz. bag- at .40 cents each. The center beads are size 6/0 Rust Opaque glass seed beads in a 1 oz. bag at .40 cents each. In the last row, the bag on the left is size 11/0 Fire Red Opaque glass seed beads in a 1 oz. bag for .75 cents; the one on the right is size 6/0 Brick Red opaque glass seed beads for .75 cents. I purchased additional bags which I have pictured in the photo on the right.

These orange transparent seed beads on the left are size 6/0 in 1 oz. bags were purchased for .40 cents each. I have a project in mind that I will share with you when I am working on it.

Starting from top to bottom, the beads on the left are 11/0 white glass seed beads in a 1 oz. bag, 11/0 cream glass seed beads in a 1 oz. bag at .75 cents each. The middle and the last row are the same which is size 6/0-2 white opaque glass seed beads in a 1 oz. bags and size 11/0 crystal clear glass seed beads in a 1 oz. bags for .75 cents each also.

In this photo on the right, the top yellow colored is called bee pollen opaque glass seed beads, in a 1 oz. bag for .75 cents; the one below that is 11/0 gold transparent glass seed beads, in a 1 oz. bag for .75 cents. The column on right of that is 11/0 bright pink opaque, deep fuchsia opaque, and blue rainbow crystal seed beads in 1 oz. bags for .75 cents each.
The photo on the right are considered clear colored beads with colors starting from the top row 2 bags of 11/0 deep silver rainbow luster, grass green rainbow luster, dark turquoise rainbow luster, and deep blue rainbow luster, all in 1 oz. bags at .75 cents each. I opened one of the bags in the next photo, to show you the good quality of the beads.

The photo on the far right is more of the size 6/0 deep plum rainbow luster that I ordered. All of these 1 oz. bags were .75 cents each also. That's the end of the haul that I am so pleased with. I took a picture of my entire order together, and by the way, everything comes packaged to avoid damage in shipping to which I really appreciate them for that!
