1. Gingher Cutting Shears

Gingher Shears all silver pictured on the bottom. |
I love these shears, I have had them for a very long time and they still cut any fabric like butter! I have not had them sharpened because it does not need to be and I always keep the cover on it when not in use and of course, my family knows to never touch these scissors. Also, I do not cut paper with them because they will dull quicker. The other scissors pictured are the ones that I use to cut paper.
2. Tomato Pin Cushion
I like all types and styles of pin cushions especially the ones that wrap around my wrist for easy access to pins. I feel like I always have to have my pins around when I am sewing because you always need them for something. The pin cushion in the photo I made myself out of felt and I used webbing for the wrist strap with Velcro on each end. I resorted into making this one for myself because the ones for sale always seem to be so tight on my wrist. I purchased a magnetic pin cushion before this one and that was so annoying because the magnetic part kept sliding around the wristband making it slide around my wrist. So I set out to make my own...I actually based it off of the tomato pin cushion that everyone that sews has in their arsenal of sewing supplies.

3. A Seam Ripper
Whether I want to admit it or not...'who likes making sewing mistakes?' I don't ever want to know what it feels like to sew, make a huge mistake and cannot pick it apart to start all over, I can just about imagine how much fabric and projects would be wasted if I am not able to rip out seams! with that said...I cannot live without my seam ripper! Although, some day in the future, I do plan to get a larger one for the comfort of my hand, but this one works just fine for right now.
4. Seam Gauge
This seam gauge represents all my measuring tools, I believe I have them all because they all have different functions and ease of use. If I had to chose one, it would certainly be this seam gauge because of the little blue gauge marker that helps you remember and mark your seams for whatever measurement you are using, I use my seam gauge in just about every sewing project, if not all.
...and last, but certainly not least.
5. Sewing Machine Feet Attachments
Although, I have many sewing machine feet pictured here, I would like to count them as one because, not only did I organize them in one container (you can read about the blog post here), I use them all to perform many different sewing duties and tasks. I use a basic Singer sewing machine and this machine did not come with all the 'bells & whistles' that some machines come with nowadays, but regardless of that, this machine is able to do just about anything I want, with the use of my different sewing machine feet. This post was fun and challenging at the same time...do you have some sewing tools that you can't live without? Please share in the comment section below. I hope you enjoyed! Happy Sewing!!
