While I was out thrift store shopping...something that I love to do, BTW!!! I came across a white bookshelf on wheels that will work great as a stand for my ironing surface! After I made my ironing surface, I wanted somewhere to house the surface...whereas it will be convenient to use, it had to house my pressing aids and anything else I wanted to store near my ironing surface.
When I saw it, I had to have it and even better it was only $5.00! I love deals!!
Although, you may not be able to see in this photo, it does have wheels...I can just roll it up to my sewing table while I am sewing and I press without getting up!!! Maybe my sewing teacher in high school will call sitting down and ironing 'plain lazy'...I call it...plain convenient :)
I put my Singer Sewing Reference Library books on the bottom shelf...I don't really like them there because the books are too low, I would rather have my books at eye level with my other sewing books, but they will live there for now.
Here is a picture of how close my ironing surface is to my sewing machines, I am so happy with the way this turned out! Little by little I am getting my sewing room organized, at that time I will be showing you all the full view and the organizational ideas that I have developed along the way!
Until next time! Happy Sewing!
